Estee Lauder announced at the weekend that it has signed Kendall Jenner as the new face of the brand.

The up-and-coming model rose to fame as part of the reality TV series Keeping Up With The Kardashian's but has increasingly broken away from her famous family in pursuit of a career as a model.

The past year has seen runway appearances for the likes of Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel and Balmain. Jenner has starred in advertising campaigns for Givenchy and appeared in major editorial shoots for Love, Vogue Paris and Interview magazine.

With the announcement comes a 13-page fashion feature in the December issue of American Vogue shot by Patrick Demarchelier.

Jenner who broke the news online to her 15.8 million Instagram followers, shared images from the shoot.

With her new role at Estee Lauder, Jenner will appear in digital, TV and print advertising campaigns.

Speaking about the news Jenner said:

"It honestly feels like a dream to represent such an iconic beauty brand - it is an incredible honor and quite humbling."

"I found out when I was backstage at Paris fashion week, and all this time I've had to keep the news top secret. I am so excited to share it now and be part of Estée Lauder."
