He may be best known for his role as shabby pirate Jack Sparrow but that hasn't stopped luxury fashion house Dior signing up Johnny Depp to front its new fragrance campaign.

Though Depp has been in the public eye since the early 1980s this will be the first fragrance campaign Depp has ever signed up for.

Depp will front the campaign for a new men's fragrance, the details of which are yet to be announced by the brand.

He is no stranger to the world of modelling has posed for Montblanc as well as appearing on numerous magazine covers including Interview and GQ magazine.

Details of the new fragrance and more images from the campaign are expected to land later this summer in time for its September release.
