From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. It’s been a good year for Jared Leto, who’s been racking up the headlines with help from his biblical-inspired looks.
The 42-year-old award-winning actor and musician has emerged as an unexpected style icon this year thanks to his bushy beard, man bun and infamous red fanny pack he’s never without. He also took over the front rows at some of this year’s biggest shows including Chanel, to which he attended wearing a pair of golden trousers from the fashion house’s Texas-inspired women’s collection.
So, we have good news for fans of his style, as Leto has opened a new merch shop on his website called “Just Like Jared”. There you can find the actor’s favourite clothing items and signature accessories, including a $32 (approx. £20) fanny pack in red (of course) and black.
The new online shop also features flannel shirts, tees with messages such as “Holy Guacamole”, and a pair of aviator sunglasses - all emblazoned with his cross logo.
Give the gift of Leto this Christmas.
