Herve Leger boss attacks bandage dress wearers: 'voluptuous' women and 'lesbians' should steer clear
Patrick Couderc made the bizarre remarks in an interview earlier this week.

It's one of the most iconic dresses of all time - worn by countless celebrities and copied a million times over on the high street, but the boss of Herve Leger has attacked wearers in an astonishing outburst.
In an interview with the Mail on Sunday, Patrick Couderc who is UK Managing Director of the fashion brand, blasted wearers of the bodycon dress warning that "voluptuous" women with "very prominent hips and very flat chest" to avoid the designs.
Even more bizarrely Couderc then went onto his express his thoughts on lesbians wearing the designs:
"If you're a committed lesbian and you are wearing trousers all your life, you won't want to buy a Leger dress. Lesbians would want to be rather butch and leisurely."
He had nothing but praise for one of the most famous wearers of the designs, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini who is described as having a "fantastic silhouette."
Unsurprisingly Couderc's remarks have been met by outrage, with social media users sharing their anger online:
The bandage dress first appeared in the 80s with Herve Leger widely credited for coming up with the design. The figure hugging dresses were much loved by celebrities throughout the 90s and the design reappears on the brand's catwalk every season.
The signature bandage dresses are currently available to buy with a starting retail point of £720.
Herve Leger has released a statement: "Patrick Couderc's comments are completely unrepresentative of the Herve Leger brand philosophy, which celebrates sensuality, glamour and femininity without discrimination. Mr. Couderc, formerly Managing Director of MJH Fashion, the distributor of Herve Leger by Max Azria in London, has resigned his position. Both MJH Fashion and Herve Leger deeply regret any offense Mr. Couderc's comments might have caused."
