The London Palladium played host to the event which saw famous names from the world's of acting, theatre and fashion turn-out decked in their finest.
Gillian Anderson walked away with the best actress award for her role in A Streetcar Named Desire and she didn't disappoint in the fashion-stakes either opting for a black strapless gown from Nicholas Oakwell Couture for the event.
Burberry CEO Christopher Bailey acted as co-host for the event meaning many of the guests including Sienna Miller and Suki Waterhouse wore gowns from the label for the event.
Editor of Vogue Anna Wintour was also in attendance, Wintour has a special connection to the event as it was her father, a former editor of the Evening Standard that founded the awards in 1955.
Benedict Cumberbatch also appeared alongside his new fiance Sophie Hunter who showed off her red carpet credentials in a printed gown by London Fashion Week favourite Erdem.
Naomi Campbell stole the show in a very festive gold sequin dress by Burberry.
