From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

The British singer channels Marilyn Monroe as the face of the Italian fashion house’s autumn/winter 2014 campaign. Rita Ora pulls off her signature platinum blonde curls and a more subtle make-up look with no sign of her trademark red lips. Prints, lace and inlays adorn the sinuous silhouettes of the clothes.

The 23-year-old pop star, who recently split with musician Calvin Harris and is said to be dating now Tommy Hilfilger’s rapper son, Ricky Hil, is broadening her fashion credentials.

For several months she’s been spotted on the red carpet wearing Cavalli gowns. And in April, she shared on her Instagram account images of her shooting the ads.

The sexy photoshoot was shot in New York by Vogue photographer Francesco Carrozzini, under the creative direction of Eva Cavalli, the wife of founder Roberto.

Yesterday she posted on Instagram a photo from the campaign stating: “RitaOraforCavalli Finally it’s OUT! Madonna Mia!! I love you @robertcavalli @eva_cavalli This collaboration is a huge Honour.”

Just last week the talented singer took the stage in Madrid, Spain and at London’s Wireless Festival to perform her upcoming collaboration with Iggy Azalea.

The multifaceted star has dabbled not only in modelling, but also in acting as she’s set to appear in the new 50 Shades of Grey film.
