From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

London Fashion Week favourite Erdem Moralioglu is to open the debut store of his eponymous ready-to-wear line.

The 2,000 square foot store which will span across two floors will be located in the heart of Mayfair on the corner of South Audley Street.

The store will open in Spring 2015 to coincide with the brands 10th anniversary.

Erdem made his name with his contemporary take on feminine designs which became popular with the likes of the Duchess of Cambridge who has worn Erdem designs on numerous occasions.

Since the label launched in 2005 it has received numerous awards and is now stocked in 160 stores across 40 countries nationwide.

“I’m so thrilled to be opening my first store. London was a natural choice. It is where I am based, and where I trained to do what I do. I love the space, and it’s such an exciting first step” commented Erdem.

Erdem will be in good company with the likes of Marc Jacobs and Rick Owens also having stores in the area.

Fellow London Fashion week favourite Roksanda Ilincic opened a store on Mount street earlier this summer and Christopher Kane's debut flagship is expected to open later this year.
