It may be fashion week in London but across the pond a fashion spectacle of another sort was taking place as LA played host to the 67th Emmy Awards.
The Primetime Emmy Awards is TV's version of the Oscars and for the nominees it's a chance to get their glad rags on.
British talent weren't just storming the boards with awards (the big winner of the night was Game of Thrones with a record breaking 12 awards) but also in the style stakes with Downton Abbey's Joanne Froggatt and Laura Carmichael dressed to impress.
The award for most glamorous goes to repeat winner Sofia Vergara who dazzled in a figure hugging St John gown.
Sequins, beading an embellishment were a big trend of the night with Kerry Washington, Christina Hendricks, Naomi Watts and Claire Danes all opting for iridescent designs.
Lady Gaga made an appearance thanks to her role in American Horror Story, the famously eccentric singer looked uncharacteristically demure in a black design by Brandon Maxwell.
