At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

WWD has learnt from the Clooney camp that it was the New York based label, Oscar de la Renta, that dressed the bride on her big day.
Dominican-American fashion designer Oscar de la Renta is famed for his ultra glamorous evening-wear, think Upper East side.
Despite rumours that American Vogue had snagged the rights to the wedding images, it has also been confirmed that it is in fact People and Hello magazine which will feature images from the long-awaited nuptials.
An image of the dress has been released on the cover of the upcoming issues of Hello and People magazine. Alamuddin chose a very traditional heavy lace gown with off the shoulder neckline and a tiered lace-edged veil to accompany it.
No further images of the dress have been released with the no camera policy making short work of any other sneak peeks.
Wedding dress aside it's Alamuddin's pre and post event wardrobe that has drawn most attention. With all eyes on Venice last weekend, it's clear that she has spent some time not to mention serious money on nailing her wedding wardrobe.
The human rights barrister first stepped out on Friday in a black and white striped dress by Dolce & Gabbana. She was then pictured later that evening at the rehearsal dinner in a red patterned dress by Alexander McQueen.
Post-wedding it was a white embroidered off the shoulder heavy lace haute couture gown by Giambattista Valli without even the tiniest hint of a hangover to accompany it.
And today for the civil ceremony, in a look vaguely reminiscent of Bianca Jagger's Yves Saint Laurent white tuxedo for her wedding to Mick Jagger, Alamuddin chose a stylish tailored Stella McCartney trouser suit complete with matching over-sized hat.
Not forgetting the groom of course, Giorgio Armani was the tailor of choice for Clooney's wedding tuxedo.
