Your support makes all the difference.Miley Cyrus lived up to the name of her husband Liam Hemsworth's new film Isn't It Romantic? by taking his place at the Los Angeles premiere of the romantic comedy due to his ill health.
On 10 February, it was revealed that Hemsworth had been hospitalised due to a mystery illness when he was unable to join co-stars Rebel Wilson, Adam Devine and Priyanka Chopra at a press junket.
A day later, with the Australian actor still in recovery from reported kidney stones, Cyrus decided to respresent her husband at the premiere of his latest flick, making a bold entrance on the red carpet in an extravagant Valentino gown.
The singer spoke to Variety on the red carpet, explaining that it's all too common for people working in the entertainment industry to not take proper care of their wellbeing.
"He's down, he's not feeling well right now, he just had some health things," she said.
"Entertainers, we have a really hard time taking care of ourselves. Because this movie's the most important thing to him, so I had to be here to represent it."
The reporter then commended Cyrus for the "sweet" gesture of being at the premiere in Hemsworth's place, to which she responded: "I already had the dress. Everyone thinks I'm here for Liam, but I'm really here for Maison Valentino."
The "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" singer wore a ruffled, sheer, haute couture Valentino gown from the Italian fashion designer's pre-Autumn 2019 collection for the premiere.
She matched the bright red dress with an equally bold scarlet lip and wore her hair in a high, slicked back ponytail.
Hemsworth publicly thanked his wife for attending the premiere in his place with a heartfelt post on Instagram.
"Sorry I couldn’t make it to the @isntitromantic premiere tonight guys. Been dealing with some pretty annoying health stuff the last couple days," he wrote.
"Lucky I have the best girl in the world to represent for me! Thanks for the support babe!"
Cyrus also posted about the premiere on Instagram, expressing her pride in Hemsworth's comedic performance.
"I am proud to represent him and his incredible work. So happy to see him shining in this comedy!" she wrote.
"He is the funniest person I know, and the world now gets to see the Liam I wake up to every day.... luckiest."
