From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The 16-year-old model who was dubbed the “most beautiful girl in the world” at the age of six walked the catwalk for Dolce & Gabbana at Milan Fashion Week on Saturday night in a "secret" off-schedule show.

Thylane Blondeau found fame at the age of four after she made her fashion debut on Jean Paul Gaultier's catwalk and posed for Vogue Enfants two years later.

The French teen is now signed with IMG models and boasts more than 1.6 million followers on Instagram.

Blondeau made her debut catwalk appearance for the Italian design duo in February, when they showcased their autumn/winter 2017 collection.

Known for casting a mix of models and social media influencers, Blondeau was joined on the runway this time around by Hailey Baldwin, Amber Le Bon and Anais Gallagher.

As the daughter of football star Patrick Blondeau, the teen beauty fit right into Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s penchant for casting celebrity offspring in their shows – Sofia Ritchie and Rafferty Law walked for the Italian duo last season.

Though Blondeau attended the Tommy Hilfigher show during London Fashion Week, this marked her first runway appearance of the season.

At 5’6” tall, she is a far cry from the usual height requirements of female models, who typically stand at 5’10” or more.

However, Dolce & Gabbana have never been ones to shy away from subverting tradition with their model line-ups.

Featuring a line-up of all shapes and sizes, they are one of the few Milanese shows that champions diversity, with their autumn/winter 2017 show featuring a mix of YouTube stars, musicians and even one fashion editor alongside regular models.
