What has the cult handmade cosmetics brand got in store for us this Easter? Sarah Young finds out
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. If you’re a self-confessed Lushie – aka a Lush Cosmetics fanatic – then you will have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of its new season products.
Luckily, you needn’t wait too long because the brand’s Easter collection is already here and it’s chock-full of old favourites like Golden Egg and exciting new creations, such as the mint-chocolate scented Cream Egg Bubbleroon.
This time around the collection consists of 16 handmade, 100 per cent vegan products spanning everything from classic bath bombs and bubble bars to shower gels and soaps.
With prices as low as £3.75, there are plenty of gift ideas or guilt-free temptations to treat yourself to this Easter. Here are some of our favourites.
Cream Egg Bubbleroon, £3.75
If you think the best thing about this time of year is all that chocolate you get to indulge in, you better think again. The Cream Egg Bubbleroon is one of our top picks from this year’s offering because, not only does it fill your bath with bright neon water, but it also smells like mint chocolate.
Made from Fair Trade organic cocoa and Fair Trade shea butter, it leaves your skin smelling sweet and feeling super-soft.
Free Rangers Bath Bomb, £6.95
A fun bath bomb that breaks into two so you don’t have to use it all at once, the Free Rangers come in three different colours to choose from meaning there’s one for everyone. Perfect for fans of fruity whiffs, it’s made using bergamot oil and blackcurrant absolute as well as cypress oil that’s known for its calming properties during times of stress.
Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt, £4.95
An oldie but a goodie, this is one for all the magpie mavens out there. Designed with golden lustre it fills your bath with shimmeringly sensual whiffs of Brazilian orange and honey, as well as a whole lot of glitter.
It also contains Fair Trade organic coca butter to leave your skin feeling luxuriously smooth.
Bunch of Carrots Reusable Bubble Bar, £6.50
Another comeback kid, the Bunch of Carrots Reusable Bubble Bar is a failsafe product that delivers on all levels. Bright and fresh, it contains scents of Sicilian lemon and bergamot while buchu oils enrich your skin. Simply swish and swash under a running tap to create a bath bursting with bubbles.
April Showers Bath Bomb, £3.95
April showers are usually something we dread but we can’t wait for the Easter Bunny to deliver this little treat. Drop this adorable cloud-shaped bath bomb into your tub and you’ll be met with cedarwood and Cyprus oils as well as comforting scents like tonka absolute, cocoa butter and violet leaf.
Poisson D’Avril Bubble Bar, £5.95
If you prefer your bath time to be dominated by warm scents then this is the one for you. This little fishy is bursting with cinnamon leaf, spicy black pepper oils and woody oakmoss, while simultaneously filling your tub with bright orange bubbles.
