From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Kendall Jenner is about to add a major new job to her already extensive CV - the Victoria's Secret show.

In news first reported by E! News yesterday, it was announced that the star has been cast in the model line-up for the show which takes place next week in New York.

Jenner later confirmed the news in an announcement on Instagram in which she posted a cartoon sketch of herself and fellow model Gigi Hadid as 'Victoria's Secret Service Agents.' She commented on the announcement:

"the best birthday present EVER! always been one of my biggest dreams to be on this catwalk.@victoriassecret's newest recruits. oh and I get to do it with my best friend."

Although Jenner has walked in countless shows since she appeared on the modelling scene, this will be her first Victoria's Secret show - a major coup for the 20 year old model appearing in what is billed as the most watched catwalk show in the world.

Jenner is also not new to the world of lingerie modelling and has fronted a prestigious Calvin Klein underwear campaign.

Jenner isn't the only new face set to be appearing in the 2015 show as she announced in her social media post yesterday, close-friend and fellow reality-tv star Gigi Hadid also confirmed her spot in the line-up last week.

Yesterday it was revealed that veteran angel Lily Aldridge will this year have the honour of wearing the fantasy bra.

It was confirmed today that Rihanna who was billed to take part as one of the show's music performers will no longer be appearing, instead Ellie Goulding will perform in her place alongside other confirmed acts including Selena Gomez and The Weeknd.

The show takes place on November 10th in New York but will be televised globally on December 8th.
