Your support makes all the difference.US Vogue's creative director has reportedly sold her highly anticipated autobiography to publisher Random House for $1.2 million.
The memoir is eagerly awaited partially because of the expected revelations on Coddington's boss, the magazine's notorious editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, but also due to the September Issue documentary that had many viewers fall head over heels for the grumpy yet charming flame-haired stylist.
Coddington was a successful fashion model before, at the age of 26, she lost her eyelid in a car accident, which was later reconstructed. She continued on to become the photo editor of British Vogue and worked for Calvin Klein in New York before she joined American Vogue in 1988.
The magazine's European editor-at-large, Hamish Bowles, is also working on his autobiography, while the former editor of its French edition, Carine Roitfeld, has collaborated with Purple's Olivier Zahm to release a memoir called Irreverent, which will be published by Rizzoli in October. The latter can already be preordered for $67.50 via amazon.com.
