Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Whether you’re a Stark or a Lannister, there has never been a better time to pay tribute to the final season of Game of Thrones (GOT) than with a tattoo.
Ahead of the show’s season finale in April, streaming service NOW TV is giving GOT fans the chance to get a free tattoo at a one-of-a-kind tattoo studio in London.
From 16-17 April, tattoo parlour The Circle in Soho offer superfans 16 different Game of Thrones-inspired tattoo designs, drawing on inspiration from the programme’s themes, quotes, and symbols.
The tattoos have been designed by celebrity tattoo artist, Lauren Winzer, who has inked musicians including Miley Cyrus and Post Malone.
Last year, Winzer inked actor Sophie Turner (who plays Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones) with the quote “The Pack Survives”, inspired by the show.
All inkings will be done by either Winzer or a tattoo artist from The Circle.
Better yet, 100 of the tattoos on offer will be offered for free.
A ballot of 50 advanced appointments will be available via a ballot on ticketing website Eventbrite while another 50 slots will be open for walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis
Fans can sign up to the ballot via Now TV here or via Eventbrite here.
Tattoos will be available to those over the age of 18 and a valid passport of driving license must be shown on arrival at The Circle.
