Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

We love… Perfect match

Retailer Matchesfashion.com has teamed up with London Fashion Week favourite Erdem, to launch an exclusive collaboration. The six-piece collection which is online now, is a departure for the dress-loving designer, with a focus on daywear. A collector’s dream, the range includes blouses, trousers and polo-shirts all featuring iconic prints from the Erdem archives. From £540, matchesfashion.com

We’re not sure about…Pink peepers

The catwalk-inspired trend for pink eyeshadow is only for the bravest of beauty buffs. Seen here on models at Donna Karan’s spring/summer show, the look involves a slick of cerise shadow on and around your lids. Proceed with extreme caution though – one slip of the hand and “style” all-too-easily becomes “stye”. And The Audit doesn’t just mean on a keyboard.

We’re buying… Not just for men

Who says swim-shorts have to be just for men? Orlebar Brown upped the pool-side ante when it launched men’s tailored trunks and now a new collection of sporty styles for women boasts the same tailored approach, as well as a few itsy-bitsy bikinis for good measure. Ipanema bikini £215, net-a-porter.com

We can’t wait for…RiRi red

No stranger to collaborations, MAC’s latest star is none other than bad gal Rihanna. The collection created by the lady herself includes a powder blush duo in bronze and coral, a rose gold highlighter and three shades of lipsticks with a retro matte finish. RiRi Woo £14, from 20 June, maccosmetics.co.uk

We’re visiting… Booted out

London designer Lou Dalton has turned her talent to cobbling and teamed up with heritage British boot brand Grenson. The resulting style is an interpretation of the monkey boot with details such as a square toe and padding around the ankles inspired by workwear safety styles. £495, doverstreetmarket.com
