The Skywalk, also known as "best new [glass] bridge", at the American landmark will provide a dramatic stage for both the the J Autumn haute couture and ready-to-wear collections on 1 November.
It is the latest in a string of fashion shows to take place at extraordinary venues. Last year the label turned the Siena River's giant glass boat Le Jean Brue into a floating 90m long catwalk.
Other unusual catwalks include London's Tower Bridge and PETRONAS Twin Towers' SkyBridge in Malaysia.
"This time, I want to bring fashion to Eagle’s Point. The Grand Canyon is one of America’s most stunning landscapes and so I want to showcase this against cutting edge fashion. I hope that inspires people," said J Fashion Show's founder and fashion model Jessica Minh Anh.
Models might already find it daunting to walk down the catwalk on skyscraper heels in front of hundreds of cameras. So those without a head for heights should be extra careful at next month's event.
Despite the vertiginous setting models will have to focus on walking down the Eagle's Point without looking down. Let's hope they can avoid tripping on the runway, as the stakes are as high as the venue at this particular event.
