Glastonbury 2015: From Bradley Cooper to Alexa Chung, festival fashion roundup
Worthy Farm saw lots of quirky sunglasses, big hats, cut-off denim, bright jumpsuits and bum bags, but if you weren't wearing black wellies, you weren't at Glasto
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. This weekend thousands of revellers flocked to Glastonbury, where they pitched their tents in the fields and geared up with their gig-ready attires for Britain's most anticipated festival of the year.
Since gates opened at 8:00am on Wednesday attendants arrived in wellies, quirky sunglasses, big hats, flower crowns, cut-off denim and water-proof parkas. This year, however, we were not expecting Native American headdresses (which used to be quite popular among the crowd) after they were banned last year, nor the so controversial “rape” t-shirts banned at Coachella.
A bunch of the fashion back and celebrities were also seen landing the fields over the weekend - from Alexa Chung to Poppy Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, Stella McCartney, Bradley Cooper and even footballer Rio Ferdinand - all looking cool, geared up in their wellies and festival-ready outfits. They ruled a trend of denim, and black-everything outfits with matching Hunter boots (forget the bright colours and metallics).
We also spotted some hilarious jumpsuits and some pretty summer dresses - rather more colourful, glittery and patterned - in the crowd.
