From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

In an attempt to please fans after announcing he was a married man, Eddie Redmayne strikes few poses for a fashion spread for Mr Porter.

The British actor, who’s currently being praised for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything, has landed yet another fashion job, this time for the online luxury menswear retailer.

In the latest edition of the magazine, the 32-year-old Oscars contender embraces a dapper style, wearing a range of slick designer suits, including a double-breasted linen suit from Burberry Prosum spring collection and a Dolce & Gabbana three-piece tuxedo.

The photoshoot is accompanied by an interview, in which Redmayne reveals he’s colour blinded and that he struggles to label the colours of his clothing - maybe choosing his red carpet outfits is a tricky business too.

Besides his successful acting career, the newlywed seems to have built his fashion following, kick-started by his appearance on Burberry’s 2012 campaign alongside supermodel Cara Delevingne.

This, however, is not his first editorial. Last year he appeared in an editorial for GQ US, in which he channeled Grease sporting an all-black outfit and leather biker jacket.
