The American import has slowly become a retail phenomenon in the UK. It happens every year, the day after Thanksgiving, and marks the start of the Christmas shopping period.
Britain has had a similar event on Boxing Day for years but the notion of the Black Friday – which carries on until ‘Cyber Monday’ - has become truly popular in the UK, led by international retailers such as Amazon.
Most of the high-street shops have adopted Black Friday deals, but luxury brands not quite so yet. However, some designer bargains will be available on shopping destinations such as TheOutnet.com, Harvey Nichols, BrandOutlet.com, Shopbop.com and Avenue 32.
Here's a some of the best shopping destinations for fashion and accessories this weekend:
Bicester Village (28 November)
Stores at the luxury discount shopping village, and reportedly Duchess of Cambridge’s favourite destination, will be open until midnight on Friday 28 November, offering a further 20% off everything. biscetervillage.com
