Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Fashion: Something a little comfier
Cult French fashion house Maison Martin Margiela is the latest high-end label to join forces with H&M. The campaign was shot by Sam Taylor-Johnson and it's everything you would expect from a designer known for deconstructed shapes and exaggerated proportions. We're loving their origami-esque folded jumpers, over-sized tailoring and an amazing white Puffa jacket that looks like you're wearing a duvet. In a good way.
Maison Martin Margiela for H&M launches on 15 November
Faces to watch: Little Green Cars

App watch: Hum This!
Like a musical Draw Something, this new app records you humming, whistling or singing part of a song, which fellow players then try to recognise. With 30 per cent of profits going to charity, you can even convince yourself that you're humming to save the world. Like Bono. But without the sunglasses. iTunes store
On the radar: Because somethings are still worth getting excited about...
Theatre: Uncle Vanya
