Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Rafael Nadal for Giorgio Armani: Tennis superstar Rafael Nadal has been named the face of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans for the Italian fashion label's upcoming spring/summer 2011 collections. The first campaign featuring the 24-year-old Spanish sensation will launch in February. Nadal follows in the footsteps of fellow hunky athletes David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Blake Lively for Chanel: 2010 was quite a year for the blond beauty. The Gossip Girl star was invited to every major fashion show and even graced the cover of Vogue's Best-Dressed issue. Now the American actress has been tapped to star in Chanel's handbag campaign in 2011, joining the ranks of previous Chanel ambassadors Lily Allen, Keira Knightley, Georgia May Jagger, Nicole Kidman and Audrey Tautou, before her.
Tom Brady for Under Armour: The NFL quarterback Tom Brady, who also happens to be the husband of Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bunchen, has signed a partnership with Under Armour. This is the highest profile athlete to enter into an endorsement deal with the sportswear apparel company.
January Jones for Versace: The American actress, who plays the role of Betty Draper in the award-winning TV series Mad Men will front the Italian fashion house's spring 2011 campaign, shot by celebrity photographer Mario Testino. The show has been credited with bringing 1950s-era fashion- midi-length skirts, demure sweaters, bright lipstick, and curves, back into fashion.
Julianne Moore for Talbots: The 49-year-old actress will replace supermodel Linda Evangelista as the new brand ambassador for the American apparel company. Moore will be shot by acclaimed fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for Talbots' spring 2011 advertising campaign. The red-headed beauty is no stranger to modeling- she was most recently seen posing nude for Bulgari.
