The Hollywood legend was best known for her work in the 1950s and 1960s, with leading roles in a string of musical and romantic comedies such as Calamity Jane and Pillow Talk.
The actor also had a successful singing career that included the 1956 hit "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)" and was also a passionate animal activist.
But, aside from her acting and singing, it was Day’s stylish wardrobe that cemented her status as one of the biggest female stars of her time.
