Christopher Raeburn launches collaboration with Palladium Boots
Sustainability is at the core of Raeburn’s brand
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Christopher Raeburn has joined forces with explorer footwear brand Palladium for spring/summer 2018.
A designer known for his reclaimed military fabrics, Raeburn’s design manifesto revolves around the notion of “remake, recycle, reduce” – sustainability is at the core of the brand.
Embracing this aesthetic alongside its own bold and audacious attitude, Palladium has launched its most forward-thinking collection to date with two separate product stories.
Each piece in the “dual-gender” collection incorporates details such as mesh-like silhouettes, recycled fabrics and emergency orange pull-tubs into future-sport revisions of Palladium’s classic silhouettes.
The first collection – Papa Recrow – offers up the Pampa CR boot available in two iterations and five colourways.
One version is available in a combination of recycled rubber with fused mesh panelling and a range of shades including lunar rock grey, olive with black highlights, or all-over black, while the other is crafted from camo-print organic cotton with leather highlights.
The second collection – Papa Recamo – works from the original Palladium Pampa silhouette with two new collaborative styles for the new season.
The first, the Recamo is presented in a camo-print organic cotton upper available in vapour grey or charcoal with all trim made from recycled PET (or plastic bottles); a rubber outsole and branding patches use up to 20 per cent recycled compounds.
Another style is the Pampa Repeat, which has a PET PU coated leather upper and a rubber outsole plus rubber branding patches made using recycled compounds. All trim details, including the pull-tab, are made from recycled PET fabric.
The new collection costs between £100-£170 and is available to buy from palladiumboots.com now.
