Burberry has unveiled the campaign imagery for its highly-anticipated collaboration with Vivienne Westwood, which is fronted by Kate Moss.

The collection features a number of Westwood’s iconic designs, from double-breasted jackets to lace-up platforms, that have been reimagined in Burberry’s vintage check print.

The campaign was shot by leading fashion photographer David Sims, and also stars a number of LGBT+ figureheads, including nightlife entrepreneur Ladyfag and acclaimed podcasting trio Sistren.

Westwood also stars in the campaign herself alongside husband and business partner Andreas Kronthaler.

Moss is photographed wearing a belted shirt dress from the collection, complete with balloon sleeves and discrete side pockets.

Elsewhere, 20-year-old British model Claudia Lavender poses wearing head-to-toe Burberry check, in a high-neck, pussy bow blouse and a pleated mini skirt.

The check-obsession doesn’t stop there. The collection also includes berets, high-waisted trousers, leather-buckled mini kilts, boxer shorts, knee-high socks and even tights, all splattered with the British fashion house's trademark pattern.

But it’s not all high fashion and even higher heels - the lace-up platforms are practically a health hazard - the collection also has a philanthropic theme.

An oversized T-shirt has been created in dedication to the charity Cool Earth, which raises money to combat deforestation and climate change, and features a handwritten message from Westwood herself on the back, reading “Cool Earth has a plan to save the rainforest”.

The partnership marks the first time Burberry has collaborated with another brand under the leadership of chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci, who took over from Christopher Bailey at the British heritage brand in March.

“Vivienne Westwood was one of the first designers who made me dream to become a designer myself and when I first started at Burberry, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to approach her to do something,” comments Tisci, who previously held the role of artistic director at Givenchy.

“She is a rebel, a punk and unrivalled in her unique representation of British style, which has inspired so many of us. I am so incredibly proud of what we will be creating together.”

Prices for the collection start at £55 and it's available to shop online and in stores now.
