From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Whether you’re planning your own wedding or, as chief bridesmaid, have been elected to dress a gaggle of girls for the big day, finding a style that ticks all the boxes is no mean feat.
You need to pick something that will suit everyone’s body shapes, price points and, of course, the wedding location.
Enter: the Olivia Deep V Maxi Dress.
Designed by British fashion brand Issa – the same name behind the gown Kate Middleton chose to wear to announce her engagement to Prince William – the elegant, floor-length gown has been repeatedly selling out at House of Fraser and looks set to become the style of the season.
A beautifully bold piece, it features a plunging v-neckline and draped aesthetic that flatters most body shapes, while the banded waistline and pleated skirt work together to create a feminine silhouette.
Gone are the days where you're limited to sickly sweet shades too because this one is available in 12 different hues, meaning there’s one to fit every bride’s colour scheme.
The line-up includes gunmetal, champagne, raspberry, navy, orange, mid grey, lilac, cornflower, mint, silver and ivory.
The dress has become House of Fraser’s best-selling bridesmaid outfit with the most popular colour, blush, repeatedly selling out.
Depending on which shade you choose, the dress comes in a range of sizes with most offering from a size eight to 18.
Similarly, the prices vary and while most of the line costs £119 some shades, such as gunmetal, have been reduced to just £95.
The Olivia dress has been such a huge hit that Issa has also launched a jumpsuit version as an alternative to the traditional bridesmaid dress or a stylish option for wedding guests.
Known as the Orelia Deep V Maxi Jumpsuit, it’s a little more expensive at £120 and comes in two colour options – navy or pink.
