The Patriots quarterback shared the clip, which shows him jumping from a rock formation and waterfall with his six-year-old daughter Vivian, on Instagram over the weekend.
In the video, Vivian holds her father’s hand as both take a leap together before reemerging in the water.
“If Vivi is going to be an Olympic champion one day, it probably won’t be in synchronized diving,” he wrote in the caption. “Daddy always gives her a 10 though!”
Johnson, who has three children between the ages of 17 and one, said the video had left him feeling queasy, writing in a comment: “You KNOW I have complete faith in you as a man, friend, player and father – but this just gave me anxiety. Geeezus.”
An onlooker in the clip has a similar reaction, bringing her hand up to her face and exclaiming: “My God!”
NBA player Stephen Curry reacted to Brady’s clip with a string of laughing emoji. Sean “Diddy” Combs also left a comment consisting of a single laughing emoji.
Several other Instagram users shared Johnson’s feelings, telling Brady to “be careful” and stay safe.
“OMGGGG! HOW irresponsible is that...poor baby, she wasn’t even ready to jump!” one person wrote.
Someone else deemed the video “not smart”.
Others, however, defended Brady and commanded him for making “awesome” memories with his child.
