Miley Cyrus has posted new photos from her vegan wedding to Liam Hemsworth.

The couple officially wed on 23 December in a small ceremony in Cyrus’ hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.

On Monday, Cyrus posted a photograph of herself tucking into food from metal catering trays on her wedding day.

“Best part of bein the bride ..... skippin the buffet lines! Mood forever,” the 26-year-old captioned the photograph of herself and her two sisters, Noah and Brandi Cyrus.

The ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’ singer included the hashtags #VeganWedding and #HotNonViolentAnimalLovingHusbandsAreHottest in the post.

The Tennessee-born star also shared several photos of herself barefoot on the floor with one of her puppies and standing underneath a floral arch made up of an assortment of roses and baby’s breath while holding her wedding bouquet.

US Magazine reports the couple’s wedding reception featured a vegan selection of foods including vegan truffle mac and cheese, vegan fried chicken, and vegan biscuits with apple butter.

For the wedding, Cyrus wore an ivory off-the-shoulder gown, widely believed to have been the Long Cocotte Dress by British designer and anti-fur activist Vivienne Westwood.

Cyrus and Hemsworth have been vegans for several years and regularly promote the plant-based lifestyle on their social media platforms.

The singer made the decision to become vegan in 2014 and marked her devotion to the practice of abstaining from the use of animal products with a tattoo of the Vegan Society sunflower logo on her left bicep in 2017.

Last year, she spoke of the importance of sustainable fashion at the Met Gala.

Standing alongside British designer Stella McCartney and vegan activist Paris Jackson, Cyrus told Vogue: “For me, I want to bring a message which is veganism, and that there doesn’t have to be torture in fabulous fashion.”

Meanwhile, Hemsworth made the decision to go vegan in 2015.

“For my own health, and after all the information I gathered about the mistreatment of animals, I couldn’t continue to eat meat,” he told Men’s Health at the time.

“The more I was aware of it, the harder and harder it was to do.”

Cyrus has posted a slew of posts from her wedding since Valentine’s Day.

On 14 February, the newlywed captioned a black-and-white photograph of her standing with Hemsworth: “Thank you for always bending down to hug me ... I promise I will always meet you in the middle on my tippiest toes! I love you Valentine!”
