Joe Jonas has credited his wife Sophie Turner for inspiring him to make amends with his famous brothers.

In March, pop group The Jonas Brothers – which is made up of siblings Joe, Kevin and Nick – reunited to release their hit single “Sucker” after confirming their split in 2013.

However, eldest brother Joe says that the reunion may never have happened if it wasn’t for Turner.

Opening up about the band’s split, Joe told Harpers Bazaar that he felt “wounded” by the demise of the siblings’ professional relationship and it took a long time for him to get over the break-up.

“I couldn’t even play one of our songs on stage with DNCE...even just to nod to the past,” he admitted, referring to his time as the frontman of the American pop band.

However, it was Turner’s strong relationship with her family that inspired the singer to reconcile his differences with his brothers.

“It encouraged me to see she had such a great relationship with her brothers,” Joe said.

“That was really a big thing for me to be able to look at, and say, ‘I gotta get my shit together.’”

Joe and Sophie began dating in 2016 before announcing their engagement a year later.

Last month, the couple tied the knot in Las Vegas, exchanging vows at a surprise wedding ceremony attended by actor Priyanka Chopra and singer Diplo.

“We had to do a legal marriage before we did a real big one,” Joe told the publication about the wedding.

“It was either the courthouse, or our version, and I preferred our version: Friends, Elvis, and Ring Pops.”

Opening up about the ceremony, which took place after the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, Joe told The Blast that Diplo “ruined” the nuptials by sharing footage of the ceremony with his 5m Instagram followers.

“I love Diplo, but he loves his ‘gram more than a 13-year-old,” he told the publication. “He posts every five seconds. He literally, like, live-streamed with dog face filters.”

However, the musician added that he and his new wife aren’t mad at the famous DJ.

“We just laughed, we loved it,” Joe added. “We thought it was ridiculous.”
