Queer Eye star Karamo Brown has revealed that Harry Styles learnt about Grindr for the first time while in Japan.

On Thursday, Brown and his four Queer Eye co-stars appeared on American talk show Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

During the show, the group were asked by a viewer about their recent visit to Japan, where they filmed upcoming episodes of their popular Netflix makeover show.

The quintet were questioned about what it was like to hang out with Styles while filming in the country, which is when Queer Eye culture and lifestyle expert Brown disclosed that the musician had been introduced to the online dating app for gay, bi, trans, and queer people.

"I can tell you this. One of the people that was with Bobby [Berk] and I there taught Harry – showed him Grindr," Brown told talk show host Cohen.

"He had never seen Grindr before and it was his first time, and it was kind of cute that this straight guy was like, ‘There’s an app where you can just find a date?’ And I thought it was really cute."

Grindr was first launched in 2009, and is available to use in 192 countries across the globe.

Bobby Berk, Queer Eye's resident design expert, added that Styles was "absolutely lovely", a "super sweet guy" and "super chill".

"I mean, who else could you ask for a better karaoke partner?" Berk added, suggesting that the One Direction singer enjoyed a singalong with the Queer Eye cast.

On Thursday, Gucci launched its latest fragrance Mémoire d'une Odeur, of which Styles is the face.

“I like a fragrance that has some emotion behind it,” the singer told Dazed magazine. "The triggering of memories from smell is really strong for everyone"

The fragrance consists of jasmine, musk, chamomile and sandalwood.

It was recently reported that the 25-year-old was in early talks to portray Prince Eric in Disney's live-action remake of the 1989 animated classic The Little Mermaid.
