At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Hilda Paz Robles, 17, from Las Vegas, began battling cystic acne in April last year when she was left with painful and inflamed skin.
Confused as to what caused the outbreak, Robles turned to her family for advice when her aunt recommended drinking parsley tea.
Unconvinced by the flavour, Robles created her own concoction instead by combining green tea with a dash of raw honey for extra sweetness.
After drinking the mixture three times a week, she says she noticed a difference in her complexion almost instantly and now even makes a face mask from the skin-saving ingredients.
To do so, she empties the contents of a couple of green tea bags into a bowl before mixing with the raw honey and applying directly to her face for anywhere between 30 minutes and two hours.
“A lot of people don't believe me,” she told Allure.
“I'm not saying it's going to work for everybody because I tried so many different things before that, and nothing was working.”
Posting her impressive before and after images on Twitter with the caption, “Came a long way…before and after, trust the process,” people quickly flooded Robles’ post asking for the secret behind her flawless complexion.
“Drop the skincare routine,” one person demanded.
Another wrote, “So what was the process? Asking for a friend.”
Captivating peoples attention, the original post has since gone on to garner in excess of 12,000 like and more than 3,000 retweets.
And, while some remain sceptical there is actually some science behind her so-called miracle cure.
This is because green tea is packed with antioxidants that can help brighten skin and protect it from free radicals making it an effective treatment for conditions like acne or even rosacea.
Similarly, raw honey is known for its ability to reduce redness, soothe inflammation and kill acne-causing bacteria.
While Robles insists that the two ingredients were the reason her acne cleared up so quickly, there are other important steps in her skincare routine.
These include using a charcoal face wash, moisturising cream, a facial mist and toner.
