Britons were able to eat from the festive menu from 9.20am on Wednesday, a full five days before the start of December.
Among the new items on the menu were the “McMince pie and custard”, the “festive feast” sandwich and the “spicy chicken winter melt”.
The BurgerLad website, which claims to be the UK’s “number one burger review website”, reviewed the “festive feast” offering shortly after it was released giving it a broadly positive raring.
It follows Burger King unveiling their Christmas menu, as well as British chains – such as Pret – releasing their anticipated Christmas sandwich.
The festive menu was launched after a campaign to encourage Britons to send in videos of themselves singing in the car en route to a McDonalds restaurant. Each entry will be judged for the chance to be spliced into a 90 second advert due to air on Christmas Day on British television.
McDonalds is among a number of giant franchised stores that will be open on Christmas day.
