Your support makes all the difference.A new survey conducted by digital market research agency Comscore has revealed the shopping habits of internet users throughout Europe. The United Kingdom has the most internet shoppers and Poland the least.
The survey, released November 22, studied the amount of users visiting online retailers throughout October 2010. The results showed that 89.3 percent of the online population of the United Kingdom used the internet for shopping, with France a close second with 84.3 percent of people visiting online retailers. The bottom three countries for internet shopping in October were Sweden 71.5 percent, Denmark 71.2 percent, and Poland 70.4 percent.
Data from market analysts Experian Hitwise shows that over the four weeks prior to November 13 the most five most popular shopping sites among UK internet users were auction site eBay, household goods site Argos, electronics and books retailer Amazon, clothing store Next and Tesco supermarket.
The countries with the largest percentage of internet users visiting online retailers in October 2010 according to comScore were:

2. France - 84.3 %
3. Germany -81.7 %
4. Ireland- 81.5 %
5. Netherlands- 79.6 %
6. Spain- 76.0 %
7. Belgium -72.9%
8. Sweden -71.5 %
9. Denmark -71.2%
10. Poland - 70.4%
