Billie Eilish has made some candid clarifications about her relationship status.

The singer, 21, took to her Instagram Story on 19 October to open up about her dating life, amid rumours that she’s dating tattoo artist David Enth. The post came hours after The Sun reported that the pair had been seeing each other and had already gone on a series of dates.

Although she didn’t mention the report on her Instagram, Eilish subtly addressed the rumours about her love life and made it clear that she doesn’t have a boyfriend. “I’m so dead, literally couldn’t be more single right now LMFAO what the hell is all this,” she wrote on her Story, along with two skull emojis.

This week, The Sun claimed that Eilish and Enth had been spending time together in Los Angeles. “Their romance is super low-key but they have been on quite a few dates,” a source claimed. “He is used to tattooing celebrities and he came highly recommended.” The source also alleged that the pair “really hit it off” and were “a great couple”.

In addition to denying claims that she’s in a relationship, the “Happier Than Ever” singer has previously opened up about her dating history. In a post shared to her Instagram Story in August, she revealed where she stood with her ex-boyfriend, Jesse Rutherford, who she split from earlier this year.

In the Q&A, the Grammy winner answered fans’ questions and said that she and The Neighbourhood singer are “very very good friends only,” as she called him her “homie forever”.

Eilish and Rutherford first sparked dating rumours in October 2022 when they were spotted kissing outside a restaurant in Los Angeles. News of their rumoured relationship quickly spread throughout social media, as many fans expressed concern over the couple’s 11-year age gap. After the “Ocean Eyes” singer appeared to confirm their relationship on Instagram, the former couple seemingly poked fun at criticisms surrounding their age gap when Eilish dressed up in a baby costume and Rutherford dressed as an old man for Halloween last year.

In May of this year, a representative for Eilish issued a statement about her breakup to Page Six, saying: “We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends.”

However, months before her breakup, Eilish made a rare comment about her relationship with the singer. When asked if she has a boyfriend, during an interview with Vanity Fair in November 2022, she applauded herself for “pulling” Rutherford.

“I managed to get my way to a point in my life where I not only was known by a person that I thought was the hottest f***ing f***er alive, but pulled his ass,” she said, before asking the crew to give her a round of applause. “Jesse Rutherford, everyone! I pulled his ass – all me! I did that s***. I locked that motherf***ker down.”
