Bill Murray surprised fans during a recent round of golf when he happily accepted a shot of tequila.

On Sunday, the actor was participating in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am in Pebble Beach, California, when a fan offered him a glass of alcohol from behind the ropes.

“Hey Bill, I got a shot of tequila for you,” the woman can be heard yelling in the video as the Caddyshack actor walked up the fairway at one of the holes. “I know you’ll like it!”

While some participants in the professional golf tournament may have turned down the offer, the 69-year-old did not - as evidenced by the clip, which shows the actor walk directly up to the woman, take the cup, down the shot, and throw the empty cup into the crowd as he continues walking.

The video, which was originally shared on Instagram, has since gone viral on Twitter, where it has been viewed more than 35,000 times and prompted reactions ranging from amusement to praise for the actor.

“National treasure,” one person wrote.

Another said: “Bill Murray is an absolute legend.”

During the golf competition, the actor also entertained the crowd when he decided to break the rules by backhanding his ball into the hole after a putt pushed it too far.

The violation, which was also shared on Twitter, where it’s been viewed more than 596,000 times, was met with cheers from the crowd.
