Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have celebrated president-elect Joe Biden’s win by driving through the streets of Los Angeles and cheering at passersby.

In a short video shared on Instagram, the couple can be seen standing through the roof of a large black car, laughing and cheering as they are driven slowly through a crowded street in West Hollywood.

Legend is captured wearing a multi-coloured hooded sweatshirt while Teigen is dressed all in black.

Their victory lap comes after Teigen reacted to Biden’s win on Twitter.

“My god it feels like I just took off a weighted blanket, unhooked my bra and taken out my extensions all at once,” she teased.

Shortly after, the former model tweeted that she was “jealous of everyone in the streets partying” and said that it was quiet in Beverly Hills.

A few hours later, videos emerged on social media of Teigen and Legend driving through LA.

“Everyone is so beautiful and so happy I’m crying,” Teigen commented on one video that had been shared.

“Best moment of my life (and kids?)," she added in a subsequent tweet.

Videos and photos of the couple’s victory lap have been widely shared on social media, with some garnering more than 500,000 views and thousands of comments.

“You two make the world a brighter place! So happy for you and all sane Americans today!" commented one person on Twitter.

“It makes me so so so happy to see you this joyful, and is making me cry (for at least the tenth time today),” another added.

The couple’s joy at Biden’s win comes after they mourned the loss of their son, Jack, who was stillborn last month.

Teigen shared the news with her followers on Instagram, revealing that she suffered excessive bleeding during her pregnancy.

The 34-year-old wrote that she and Legend were “shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before”, stating: “We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn't enough."
