Fortunately, living in the pink and white toy mansion is now a reality, thanks to Airbnb, which has teamed up with the iconic toy company to create a unique opportunity for fans of Barbie to stay in the Dreamhouse.
In honour of Barbie's 60th anniversary, Airbnb is offering guests the chance for four friends to book a life-size version of the house, located in Malibu, California, from October 27 to 29. .
The Malibu house comes complete with an infinity swimming pool, outdoor dining area and dressing rooms - all in the style of the classic toy. There's also a movie theatre, hobby studio, sports court, and meditation area, so you can live out your Barbie fantasies to the fullest, while surrounded by pink accents.
According to the Barbie company, the trip comes with a meet-and-greet with hairstylist Jen Atkin, a fencing lesson with American Olympian Ibtihaj Muhammad, a cooking lesson with top Malibu chef Gina Clarke-Helm, and a tour of Columbia Memorial Space Centre with pilot and aerospace engineer Jill Meyers as well.
The best thing about it? It’s only $60 a night (£46), plus taxes and fees.
On social media, people are already expressing their joy at the opportunity to live like their beloved childhood toy.
"Yes, please!" one person wrote on Twitter, while another said: "OMG Barbie put her Dreamhouse on Airbnb!"
In addition to offering a fun trip down memory lane, Airbnb will make a donation to The Barbie Dream Gap Project GoFundMe initiative, which aims to help level the playing field for young women so they can follow their dreams, according to the company.
