Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

1) Real Madrid vs Malaga 2-0 - 523,649 views
Some delightful one-touch football leading up to Madrid's - and Ronaldo's - first of the match on Sunday, January 24, closing the gap on league leaders Barcelona, but marred by the goalscorer's sending off later on.

2) Your Tires or Your Life - 475,901 views

4) Ferrari F10 Presentazione - 385,912 views
Ferrari's motor racing car for the 2010 Formula One season was revealed in an official presentation on January 28. It will be driven by Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso of the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro team. No sound.

5) Direttastadio 7Gold - TRIONFO DELL'INTER!!! - 359,448 views
Apparently authentic footage of the Italian TV station 7 Gold's studio team and fan commentators reacting during key moments in the derby match between Internazionale and AC Milan on Sunday, January 24.

6) Inter - Milan 2-0 Highlights - 376,129 views
Highlights of the January 24 soccer game between Inter Milan and AC Milan, with goals from Inter star strikers Milito and Pandev despite finishing the game with nine players due to red card offenses. Inter coach José Mourinho afterwards claimed they would have won "even with seven."

7) Higuita se despidió del fútbol - 306,922 views
Colombian goalkeeping legend René Higuita plays his last match in the Colombian first division team Deportivo Pereira before retirement. After pulling off his famous scorpion kick save and taking a free kick, Higuita swaps jerseys and plays as a striker, scoring a goal and tearfully applauding fans.

8) Polémica en tanda de penaltis España - Rusia de futbol sala - 278,081 views
The UEFA Futsal Championship quarter final between Russia and Spain on January 26 went to sudden-death penalties after a 0-0 finish. Spain eventually went through, and then on to win the tournament, but one of their penalties was disallowed despite protests from staff and players following replays on the arena's TV.

9) Lakers vs. Wizards - Shannon Brown Dunks - 431,384 views
LA Lakers guard Shannon Brown scores three emphatic dunks during his team's January 26 encounter with the Washington Wizards. Brown's 6ft4 (1.93m) height puts him under the NBA average of 6ft7 (2m), but he more than makes up for it with a 44.5in (113cm) vertical leap. Strangely enough, Brown claimed on the LA Lakers website in June 2009 that he does "little to nothing" with his legs, and uses push-ups as his main strength-building exercise.

10) Cristiano Ronaldo Goals Real Madrid - Malaga - 319,316 views
Extended replays of Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo, and the world's current most expensive player, scoring two goals against fellow La Liga team Malaga on Sunday, January 24. His red card offense and sending off are omitted from the compilation.
