Matt Lovell: Maire is doing well. She has lost 4lb in weight, feels lighter, and her clothes are already looser. She's very focused and has been busy looking at rates of absorption of various carbs, and ways to incorporate pearl barley and chick peas into her diet – homemade houmous is one very delicious way and a recipe follows.
Dinner in particular looks excellent, with good quality protein and grow-above-the-ground veggies (below-the-ground ones had crept in last week). To continue to make progress, exercise on an empty stomach and some careful attention to snacks are this weeks focus.
