At America's largest architectural and design event, the public can embark on individual tours of usually closed or little known spaces in the city, 350 in total, and submit their best pictures afterwards in the event's first photography competition.

Chinese emperors exhibition

Part of the Europalia Festival that highlights China this year, the Brussels Museum of Fine Arts presents 250 rare objects from six Chinese provinces and from the Museum of the Forbidden City in Beijing ranging from bronze sacrificial vessels to gold and silver work, imperial robes and astronomical instruments that offer insights into the lives of the emperors.

Who's Next & Premiere Classe Dubai

A trade event that has its origins in Paris, the fashion fair will host its Dubai version for the first time this fall, aiming at introducing new brands to the Middle Eastern market and opening the dialogue between the two design hemispheres and presenting over 250 designers.

GDC China and the Independent Games Festival

The second GDC to be held in Asia, the 2009 Game Developers Conference (GDC) China features content from both Chinese and international games makers, with speakers from Dolby Australia, Dice, EA, Concept Art House, Sony Computer Entertainment America, Ubisoft, ACTIVISION China and Blizzard Entertainment. The Independent Games Festival will be held in China for the first time under the banner of the GDC China.
