Art Miami

In 2009, Art Miami will celebrate its 20th anniversary. The event will take place during Miami Art Week and will showcase contemporary artworks from over 80 international and local contemporary art galleries. A range of special exhibitions will be held as part of Art Miami's anniversary celebrations including a video art exhibition entitled "Mapping the Blank Spots."

Los Angeles Auto Show

One of the world's most important auto events, the 2008 version displayed 23 world debuts, the most in the exhibition's history. The list of world and North American debuts for this year is still being finalized but the latest Ford Fiesta, which has topped the bestseller list in Europe this year, will no doubt make a big splash. General admission for the public begins December 4. Tickets cost $12 for adults, $8 for seniors over 65 and free for children 12 and under when accompanied by an adult.

Grammy nominations concert

On December 2, the nominations for the 2009 Grammy Awards will be announced at a special concert event in Los Angeles hosted by LL Cool J and featuring Black Eyes Peas, Maxwell, and Sugarland. One of the most prestigious music award shows worldwide, the Grammys are now in their 52nd year. Nominations, which are submitted by the Recording Industry Association of America, cover 31 fields, including pop, rock, classical, and a wide variety of other genres. The Grammy award celebration will take place on January 31.
