Lakers 95, Hawks 88
In Atlanta, Kobe Bryant scored 30 points to make up for an off night from Shaquille O'Neal to give the Los Angeles Lakers a 95-88 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday night.
It was the fourth straight win and 11th in 12 games for the Lakers (19-5), who have the best record in the league.
Isaiah Rider led the Hawks with 33 points - his seventh 30-point game - before a crowd of 19,463, Atlanta's first sellout at the new Philips Arena.
O'Neal, the NBA's leading scorer, was limited to 28 minutes by foul trouble and finished with nine points. He shot 4-of-15 from the field and 1-of-5 from the foul line.

Trail Blazers 107, SuperSonics 81
In Seattle, Damon Stoudamire scored 20 points to help Portland end an eight-game losing streak in Seattle.
The Blazers took a 15-point lead into the final quarter and had the game won halfway through the final quarter, scoring 12 unanswered points to go from an 85-70 lead to a 97-70 advantage after Brian Grant's 15-footer with 5:24 left.
Gary Payton led Seattle with 22 points.

In Oakland, California, Grant Hill scored 25 points and Jerry Stackhouse had 23 points and 11 assists for Detroit.
Christian Laettner added 19 points for the Pistons, who have beaten the Warriors the last seven times they have played.
John Starks scored 22 points, and Jason Caffey had 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Warriors, who had their season-high three-game win streak snapped.

In Dallas, Allan Houston scored 10 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter to help New York win its fifth straight game.
Marcus Camby added 17 points and 12 rebounds, Latrell Sprewell had 15 points and Patrick Ewing 14 for the Knicks.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 24 points and Michael Finley added 20 to lead the Mavericks, who have lost five of six.

Nuggets 116, Kings 106
In Denver, Nick Van Exel had 38 points and 10 assists and Ron Mercer scored 25 to lead Denver over Sacramento.
Roy Rogers tied a career high with 18 points and had 10 rebounds off the bench for the Nuggets, who broke a four-game losing streak against the Kings despite playing without injured starting forward Antonio McDyess.
Chris Webber scored 26 to lead the Kings.

Bucks 96, Heat 95
In Miami, Ray Allen scored 28 points and hit an 18-foot running jumper with 1.7 seconds to play to lift Milwaukee past Miami.
Sam Cassell had 20 points and seven assists, and Vinny Del Negro added 15 points for the Bucks.
Voshon Lenard came off the bench to hit 7 of 10 3-pointers and score 29 points for the Heat, who dropped their third straight game. Alonzo Mourning had 21 points, 18 rebounds, and four blocked shots.

In Washington, Juwan Howard scored 28 points and helped Washington rally from a nine-point fourth-quarter deficit to defeat New Jersey.
Howard scored Washington's first seven points of the game and hit two clutch baskets and two key free throws in the final three minutes.
Jahidi White, making his first start of the season, had a career-high 19 points and eight rebounds. Rod Strickland added 17 points and 14 assists.
Stephon Marbury had 20 points and 11 assists for the Nets.
