As seen at... The I Shot Andy Warhol premier party
The invitation to the I Shot Andy Warhol 40th London Film Festival premiere party stated `you only get one shot at fame'. Some of the guests get their shot in The Independent. Photographs by Ben Elwes. Interviews by Charlie Harrington
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.z Oji Child, NFT employee I'm here for work. I think it's wicked.
c April Angold, 17, scriptwriter I usually like to get my clothes from second-hand bazaars. I'm a great fan of the Sixties and Seventies.
x Frank Okalo, 29, TV editor
I love dressing in Twenties and Thirties classics.
Alice Rosenbaum, 25, photographer I am a second-hand kind of girl. Occasionally I will spend money on a new thing if it is the right thing. I got this coat from a charity shop in Brixton for pounds 15. z Julian Oyesiku, 25, disabilities co-ordinator I'm a biker, I usually wear a helmet. It's nice to come out and comb my hair and get some proper clothes on. My favourite item of clothing is a knitted tank-top that my mum made me, it is surprisingly trendy.
x Redd, 34, hair and make-up artist I got this lace dress and beaded bag from charity shops. I love the dress because it looks like a nightie. This jacket is from Michiko, I think the fake fur trim is great. z Stephen Glendinning, 25, face about town I love tailor-made suits and that kind of 1960s Carnaby Street look. My prized possession is a hand-made suit that fits me like a glove.
x Danny Valentine, 23, designer for Biba I'm wearing a logo print column dress from Biba. I usually shop in designer or second-hand stores. z Craig Lynn, 37, photographer I got this fake fur car coat in Portobello market; it's very practical. I usually shop at markets or at Romeo Gigli depending on how much money I have got.
x Harvey Keitel was not prepared to talk about his button-up collar easy knit or his high-shine suit. He was probably embarrassed to be the only real star there.
