From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

EA Sports has released the first official gameplay trailer for EA Sports UFC 2.

The game, which features Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey as its cover stars, is the much-anticipated sequel to 2013’s debut entry on Xbox One and PS4.

UFC 2 will feature an all-new physics-driven knockout system to deliver more visceral and realistic finishers in fights. The sequel is also said to improve upon its predecessors sorely-lacking ground game with dynamic grappling and improved submissions, hopefully giving players many more options in transitions and how to make your opponent tap. Defence has also been upgraded with better head movement and blocking and parrying controls.

Of course, we are already fully aware of the game’s pre-order bonuses. Fans who pre-order the game will receive immediate access to two MMA legends: Bas Rutten, Kazushi Sakuraba and a mystery fighter to be revealed later.

EA Sports UFC 2 will launch on March 15 in the US and March 17 in the UK and Europe on PS4 and Xbox One.
