From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Enough with the trailers - gameplay videos are the best indication of what to expect from a game (if a little airbrushed), and judging by the one for Star Wars Battlefront EA just dropped at E3, the game is going to be a worthy follow-up to its predecessor.

While footage released previously was made using the game's engine but pre-rendered, this is said to be ripped straight from actual PS4 gameplay, and is gloriously frantic.

Snowspeeders wrap up the legs of AT-ATs as laser beams fly from the guns of Snowtroopers and X-Wings circle above.

While the ground-based warfare looks intense it’s the aerial stuff I'm excited for, and here we get a good look at flying TIE fighters both in third-person and from inside the cockpit.

The trailer finishes with an impressive (if a little cut scene-based) lightsaber duel, as Luke Skywalker arrives to clash with Darth Vader right in the middle of the battle.

Fans of the Battlefield series have been pining for a new instalment for over a decade, and while EA have a habit of disappointing fans, the pressure is surely on to deliver a quality game given the massive push Disney is giving the Star Wars franchise with the films right now.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be released 17 November, 2015.
