With this photo-realistic racer, Codemasters has tried to pay fitting tribute to the late, great rally champion Colin McRae while still appeasing the larger audience of arcade gamers. Although the expectations of hardcore rally fans won’t be entirely satisfied (the rally stages are easily the weakest), Dirt 2 is undoubtedly one of the best racing games you are likely to see this year, boasting a dazzling display of speed, head-tohead action and variety.
