George RR Martin's new project is a game called Elden Ring, according to a new leak.

The Game of Thrones author appears to be working on a new game, set to be announced soon, according to details apparently accidentally uploaded to a public website. The game has been created by developers FromSoftware, most famous for creating titles such as Dark Souls and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

The leaked information included the announcement of the new game as well as what appears to be its logo.

An announcement, posted online, says that George RR Martin has co-created the game.

It is expected to be announced at the E3 games conference, presumably by Bandai Namco.

The title is said to be released for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One.

The leaks did not give a defined release date. But the platforms listed in the leak suggests that it will be coming before the PS5 and the next generation of consoles, which are expected to be released in 2020.

George RR Martin mentioned having worked on a game in a blog post he wrote after the finale of Game of Thrones.

"I’ve consulted on a video game out of Japan," he wrote, in addition to a long list of other projects he said he was working on that would keep him busy after Game of Thrones.

A logo for the game, which had been rumoured before, appears to have been tweeted out by one games analyst.

As well as Elden Ring, the leak – attributed to a security problem on Bandai Namco's website – revealed two further games. One is said to be a remastered version of beloved RPG Ni no Kuni, and another called Tales of Arise will be a new addition to that series.
