Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

We’re looking for individuals to share their People’s Vote story to form part of a bigger campaign in the run up to the 19th October march in London. Our selected participants will have their photo taken, by a professional photographer holding a placard summarising their views on Brexit. We will bring a blank placard for you to write on and our creative lead will be on hand to help you craft in a condensed form as required. These photos will then be used as part of our media campaign across the country to hero the voices of real people whose views and opinions have not yet been heard.

We’d like hear from you if:

  • You’re eager to share your views with a wider audience

  • You have an interesting story to tell about how Brexit will affect you

  • You voted leave but still support a People’s Vote

  • You have a point of view you feel is under-represented

  • You are travelling a long way to attend the People’s Vote March

As the People’s Vote march is on the 19th October, time is of the essence! We will therefore have our team on the road this Thursday 19th and Friday 20th September to capture photos of our participants around the country.

Please complete this short form with your name, age, region and 100 words describing your People's March story. By submitting your information and your story you agree to The Independent publishing your views alongside your name and region/hometown details. If your entry is selected, a member of our marketing team will be in touch.

We look forward to hearing from you.
