As The Great British Bake Off returns to our screens to add some light-hearted entertainment to a difficult year, chances at some point during the series, you’ll be inspired to dust off your cake tins and try whipping up some sort of baked goods.

However, mastering the art of proofing, kneading and icing your creations needn’t cost a fortune thanks to Aldi, as the supermarket has just launched a budget-friendly baking range, with everything you need to get started.

From standing mixers to measuring jugs and everything in between, soon you’ll be able to start impressing friends and dinner guests with your new talent, so start practicing your showstoppers now.  

So whether you’re a novice or looking to brush up on your skills, you can shop the range now online and it will be available in stores from 24 September.

Classic stand mixer

For bakers with little time on their hands, allow this classic stand mixer (£49.99) to do all the hard work for you, simply add the ingredients.

Available in gunmetal or pearl, it can mix, knead and stir with eight speed levels, non-slip feet and a swing engine head so you can switch out heads easily, depending on what you need it to do.

With it comes a non-stick coated flat beater, non-stick whisk, non-stick coated dough hook and a splash guard, all of which are machine washable.

Hand blender

While unfortunately sold out online, this ambiano 3-In-1 hand blender (£14.99) is available in black and white, perfect for a monochrome kitchen.

Allowing you to whisk and mix to your heart’s content, it’s ideal if you’re limited on space but need a tool that will always come in handy.

There’s two speed settings, with a detachable stainless steel blender and wish, 700ml storage lid and a 500ml mini chopper to ensure you get a smooth mix every time.

Melamini mixing bowl set 

This clever stacking melamine mixing bowl set (£12.99) doesn’t take up much cupboard space, and are versatile enough to go beyond your baking needs.

They nestle together to store away neatly and come in pretty pastel shades to add colour to your cabinets. Best of all, they’re dishwasher safe so you can quickly clean up after a baking session.

The set of four are available in small, medium, large and extra large sizes, and you can use them as salad bowls too.

Four-piece bakeware set

No matter how new to baking you are,  or if you’re a weathered veteran, baking trays are the pinnacle of most successful recipes so this kirkton house four-piece bakeware set (£9.99) is ideal.

There’s four designs to choose, ranging from spots, floral patterns, football motifs and geometric stars.

They neatly stack together, so if you're short on cupboard space, they’ll still make pretty additions to your countertop.

Cereal containers

While the label may say cereal container three pack (£4.49) these arn’t the only things you can store in them.

We’ll be adding flour, granola or pet food too, as they’ll keep food fresh and while saving space and the secure lid means there won’t be any spillage.

There’s three different sizes in the set too, so start decanting now for a kitchen even Mrs Hinch would be envious of.  

Measuring jugs

When baking, the detail is everything, get the wrong measurement for baking soda, flour or eggs and you could be left with a disaster.

Which is where these measuring jug three pack (£1.99) comes in handy.

Each jug has an anti-slip base to reduce any spills, and come in three sizes, 500ml, 1l and 2 l so you can mix sauces, make stocks and measure liquids with ease. You can also store them in the freezer, heat in the microwave and clean in the dishwasher.
