Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Transformers: The Last Knight is in UK cinemas from 22 June. To celebrate the release of this summer’s most anticipated action blockbuster, the Evening Standard has teamed up with Paramount Pictures to offer readers the chance to win a family trip for up to five people to Warwick Castle.

The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English lord (Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford professor (Laura Haddock). There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.

This fantastic prize includes two night’s accommodation in a Knight’s Lodge set in the picturesque Woodland Grove, two days priority entrance to Warwick Castle, VIP parking, breakfast hamper each morning and £300 to cover travel expenses. Plus five runners up will each win a goodie bag containing a Transformers Voice Changer Helmet, Turbo Armour Changer toy and exclusive film merchandise including key ring, drinkware, jacket and chess set.
